Wound Care: Taking care of your skin
Our skin is the body's largest organ. It's prone to different types of ulcers, wounds and traumatic injuries, dermatitis, burns and radiation side effects. If you're diabetic, wound care problems may crop up more often. AdventHealth Zephyrhills is fortunate to have a Wound Care Center. Judy Simpson, BSN, is the Center's clinical manager. She'll talk about some of these common skin concerns, answer questions and explain what a hyperbaric chamber is and how this treatment can help heal wounds and fight certain infections.
