PASCO COUNTY, FL ---- The UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service is hosting an Air Potato Beetle Biological Control Program event Wednesday, February 13, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the One Stop Shop, located at 15029 14th St., in Dade City.
Anyone who shows up at the event with air potato bulbils (tubers) will have a chance to win an air potato beetle t-shirt!

The Air Potato Vine is an invasive plant, common throughout Central Florida, which is capable of destroying native plant habitats. Air potato beetles offer fast, effective control of the plant.
Representatives from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) Division of Plant Industry will be on hand during this FREE special event to discuss the program and provide handouts and information.
Enjoy demonstrations, giveaways, refreshments, and free presentations – including a discussion with Biological Scientist Dr. Chris Kerr.
